DOMAIN LA PROVENQUIERE

The Château de la Provenquière dates back to the 15th century. Located in Capestang, a few kilometers from the Canal du Midi, this estate took its name from Jean Provenquier, the 15th-century owner, feminized according to local custom. In the 18th century, it belonged to the Marquis de Puisserguier branch of the House of Caylar.

The Domaine la Provenquière offers tours and tastings:
– “Discovery” Tasting: Guided tasting of 1 to 3 wines in the tasting cellar. (Free – approximately 30 minutes)
– “Iconic” Tasting: Guided tasting of 5 to 10 wines in the tasting cellar and stroll on the château terrace (€10 – approximately 1 hour)
– Tour of the Vine to the Glass: Tuesdays at 14:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 11 a.m.: Complete tour of the estate. Discovery of the estate's vines, stroll through the château grounds, visit of the winemaking cellar, the barrel cellar and tasting of 1 to 5 wines. (1 hours – €30 with tasting / €17 without tasting).
