CANAL BRIDGE

Built downstream of the 9 Fonseranes locks, it was put into service in 1858. Bordered by a majestic cypress alley, the bridge spans the Orb.
Thanks to him, the ships pass over and not over the river. This "boat bridge" facilitates the navigation of barges, overcomes the difficulties linked to the very irregular flows of the Orb.
12 m high, 28 m wide, 240 m long, the Pont-Canal has also had a gallery running from the start, which runs under the channel, to facilitate inspections of the structure.
